Hello my dear quillers! I have got a special pill today.
This month,
Make a paper quilled jewellery. It can be earrings or pendants or anything else you can think of.
Need some inspirations?? Well, we have got 2 super talented DT members - Suganthi and Manuela.
Here's their introduction, in their own words and their marvellous inspirations -
Suganthi:
“I am a stay at home mom of two teenage boys. I love to craft, cook and read books and I also volunteer at our local library. I studied to be a computer engineer but when I stayed at home I discovered my aptitude for craft . I have self learnt a lot of arts and crafts; I saw a tutorial for quilled snowflakes in folding trees some eighteen months ago and was introduced to quilling. I am fascinated by the art of quilling and like to share my experiments with the quilling strips through my blog (http://papercraftss.blogspot.com/). I started making cards to use my quilled creations and now that is what I do in my free time. I am also hooked to making quilled jewellery.”
Here are Suganthi's gorgeous earrings -
Manuela :
“I am 27 years old. I was born and I currently live in Bucharest, Romania.
Even though I am a civil engineering graduate, my passion and interests always revolved around arts and crafts. I discovered quilling about a year and a half ago, by accident. I started creating small gifts for friends and relatives and their positive feedback encouraged me to continue to learn new quilling techniques.
In March this year I started my own website http://manuk.ro (Romanian version) or http://manuk.ro/en (English version). I use it to showcase my work to other quilling enthusiasts’ or to other people who appreciate hand-made crafts.I've made many new friends thanks to quilling and I hope to make many more”
And here are the awesome pendants by Manuela -
Do checkout their websites, if you haven't already..because you will be surely left spellbound, just like me :)
The challenge will close on 26th July 2011 (11:59 pm IST).
