First Anniversary Celebrations!!

Hello Quillers! How are you doing? I am so sorry for the long time I took..but I am going to make up for it.
Beware : This is going to be a long post full of surprises. So read carefully and patiently :)

This month, we would be having not one, nor two but three challenges. And not just that, every challenge has a sponsor...and hence there would be 3 winners.

You must be excited to find out who these sponsors are and what they would be sponsoring..right? So, here are the details along with their respective challenges -
1) The first sponsor is Kathy Meyers. Kathy has a wonderful embroidery store. Do check out her website at www.kzembroidery.com or her Etsy shop at kzembroidery.etsy.com to see some awesome creative stuff!
Kathy would be sponsoring a nice embroidered T-shirt to the winner. How cool is that! Thank you so much Kathy. And here's Kathy's challenge.

2) The second sponsor is a Secret. Well, the only hint I can give is that this lovely lady has participated in our previous challenges :). So keep guessing her name. And this secret sponsor is giving away this awesome package -
It contains 10 card stocks in assorted colors, 6 ribbons 3 feet each and 4 sticker packs. Wow..wish I could participate too :) . Thanks so much Girl!
And here's the Secret sponsor's challenge

3) The third sponsor is...me :).
And the winner of my challenge would get a 10$ (or equivalent) gift voucher of the store of winner's choice.

And now the rules -
1) The challenges will be open until 26th October 2011 (11:59 pm IST)
2) You may participate in all challenges and can submit any number of entries
3) No backlinking. All entries should be new one. i.e posted after the challenge has been set
4) Please specify a link back to the respective challenge on your blogspot
5) Link to the exact blog post and not the blog home page

8) Top 3 entries will be chosen in every challenge and a random winner will be drawn out of the top 3.

Entries not fitting in rules would not be eligible for winning.

So calling all the new and the experienced quillers in all age groups over the world to participate in the celebrations.
Once again a big Thank you for the generous sponsors for making this event more special!

I have one more good news to share. I have just started a new online store - "The Just for You Store" for quilling and other crafting supplies. I would love it if you visit it and let me know your feedback.

Rules and additional Entries

Hey Friends!
I am spellbound seeing so many stunning entries for the current month's challenge. Keep going..Just 2 days to go!

However I am a bit disappointed with not following of the rules. Please follow the rules dear quillers.
I am not deleting non eligible entries but they won't be considered while choosing the winners. This is to be fair to those who followed the rules. The DT and me would be really disappointed if we have to let go a top entry because it didn't fit in rules.
I am re-iterating the 3 main rules -
1. No Back Linking. All projects should be new.
2. Please link the blogspot and not the blog home page.
3. Please leave a link back to this challenge post on your blog post

The rule "A participant can submit upto 3 entries per challenge. " has been removed and you can submit any number of entries :)

So if you have not linked to the actual blog post or have not specified a link back to the challenge, then please correct it soon.. You just have 2 days. If you are not able to create hyperlinks, just mention the challenge's web address. This will help some new quillers to join the challenge too!

**** Update****
An exception to the rule No. 3  only for kids (below 15 years). If you are not able to leave a link back to the challenge, not a problem. Your entries will still be considered valid. I hope this is fine with the adult quillers. Please email me if you have any objection.
***************

So Sorry if I sounded harsh. I didn't mean to.

And here is a beautiful entry that I recieved in email from Safiya -

Keep quilling!

Challenge 11 : July 2011

Hello my dear quillers! I have got a special pill today.
This month,

Make a paper quilled jewellery. It can be earrings or pendants or anything else you can think of.
Need some inspirations?? Well, we have got 2 super talented DT members - Suganthi and Manuela.
Here's their introduction, in their own words and their marvellous inspirations -
Suganthi:
“I am a stay at home mom of two teenage boys. I love to craft, cook and read books and I also volunteer at our local library. I studied to be a computer engineer but when I stayed at home I discovered my aptitude for craft . I have self learnt a lot of arts and  crafts;  I saw a tutorial for quilled snowflakes in folding trees some eighteen months ago and was introduced to quilling. I am fascinated by the art of quilling and like to share my experiments with the quilling strips through my blog (http://papercraftss.blogspot.com/). I started making cards to use my quilled creations and now that is what I do in my free time. I am also hooked to making quilled jewellery.”

Here are Suganthi's gorgeous earrings -

Manuela :
“I am 27 years old. I was born and I currently live in Bucharest, Romania.
Even though I am a civil engineering graduate, my passion and interests always revolved around arts and crafts. I discovered quilling about a year and a half ago, by accident. I started creating small gifts for friends and relatives and their positive feedback encouraged me to continue to learn new quilling techniques.
In March this year I started my own website http://manuk.ro (Romanian version) or http://manuk.ro/en (English version). I use it to showcase my work to other quilling enthusiasts’ or to other people who appreciate hand-made crafts.I've made many new friends thanks to quilling and I hope to make many more”

And here are the awesome pendants by Manuela -

Do checkout their websites, if you haven't already..because you will be surely left spellbound, just like me :)
The challenge will close on 26th July 2011 (11:59 pm IST).
